1. Size
Characterized by its minimal thickness of anywhere between 3 to 6 mm and large slab dimensions (up to 5’ x 10’), just a few pieces of thin porcelain can be used to cover an entire area such as a shower. Being lightweight and slim, it can also be installed in a space that may not be structurally sound to support the weight of a heavy natural stone like granite.

Thin porcelain has opened the doors to creativity in the design world. It can be used for a range of applications, including backsplashes, shower walls, shower floors, columns, ventilated building facades, and sinks. In countertop applications, thin porcelain slabs installed with a built up mitered edge will lend an exquisite look of thick stone. The price of thin porcelain is competitively priced compared to its natural stone counterparts like Statuario, Onyx, Calacatta Gold, and other exotic materials.
